Projekt ozelenitve etiopske predelovalne industrije (Greening Ethiopian Manufacturing – GEM) uspe\u0161no vstopa v tretje leto svojega delovanja. Z etiopskimi partnerji smo spodbudili iniciativo za ozave\u0161\u010danje in proizvodnjo usnjenih izdelkov brez kroma. Zakaj brez kroma? Usnje je tradicionalno strojeno z uporabo kromovih soli. Pitna voda, onesna\u017eena s kromom, je zelo nevarna za \u010dlovekovo zdravje in okolje. <\/p>\n

V iniciativi za proizvodnjo usnjenih izdelkov sodeluje 7 manj\u0161ih proizvajalcev, ki so oblikovali svojo blagovno znamko “GEL” (Green Ethiopian Leather). V nadaljevanju predstavljamo izdelke Muzzbig Leather in Trufat Leather. <\/p>\n

Greening Ethiopian Manufacturing (GEM) financira EU in poteka v izvedbi Etiopske gospodarske zbornice ECCSA, Precise Consult International in na\u0161ega podjetja Inoa, Inovativne organizacije.<\/p>\n

Within the Greening Ethiopian Manufacturing (GEM) project, we’re facilitating awareness raising, design and production of chrome-free leather products. Why chrome-free? Traditional chrome-tanned leather results in water pollution that is toxic to the eco-system. Chromium saturated waste water, if it enters the water supply, is very harmful for our health, also carcinogenic.<\/em><\/p>\n

The initaitve is led by a group of small leather goods manufacturers who created a joint brand “GEL” (Green Ethiopian Leather). Today, we’re presenting creations of Muzzbig and Trufat Leather.<\/em><\/p>\n
