Projekt Družbeno odgovorni “slow food” turizem (SReST) / Socially Responsible Slow Food Tourism

V veselje nam je bilo sodelovati z Občino Postojna, vodilnim partnerjem projekta SReST – Socially Responsible Slow Food Tourism – v okviru programa Interreg Podonavje.

Projekt je uspešno povezal partnerje iz sedmih držav Podonavske regije ter pokazal, kako lahko trajnostni gastronomski turizem prispeva k ohranjanju lokalne prehranske dediščine, biotske pestrosti in vključevanju ranljivih skupin. Med ključnimi dosežki projekta so razvoj odgovorne in inovativne turistične ponudbe in učnih programov, vključevanje oseb z invalidnostjo, priseljencev ter drugih ranljivih skupin v trajnostni turizem, krepitev zaposlitvenih priložnosti za mlade in starejše na območjih z upadanjem prebivalstva, vzpostavitev mednarodno priznanih Slow Food kmetij ter povezovanje lokalnih pridelovalcev, turističnih ponudnikov in izobraževalnih ustanov.

We were delighted to collaborate with the Municipality of Postojna, the lead partner of the SReST – Socially Responsible Slow Food Tourism project, implemented under the Interreg Danube Region Programme.

Bringing together partners from seven Danube countries, the project demonstrated how sustainable gastronomy tourism can preserve local food heritage and agrobiodiversity while strengthening social inclusion and creating opportunities for vulnerable groups. Key achievements include the development of innovative “slow food” tourism products and educational curricula, capacity-building activities for tourism stakeholders and local communities, and the integration of people with disabilities, immigrants and other vulnerable groups into the hospitality and tourism sector. The project also supported the creation of new employment and engagement opportunities for youth and elderly in depopulated rural areas, established internationally recognised Slow Food Farms and strengthened cooperation between local producers, tourism providers and educational institutions.
